Janeil holds a Bachelor of Laws Degree with honours from the University of the West Indies and a Legal Education Certificate (“LEC”) from the Hugh Wooding Law School where she was chosen to participate in the Family Law Specialist Clinic.
She was also selected as a member of the Hugh Wooding Law School moot team representing the school at the 12th Annual Caribbean Court of Justice International Law Moot. Her areas of interest include Property Law, Probate Law, Family Law, Immigration Law and Civil Litigation.
Apart from this, Janeil has a keen interest in Mediation Advocacy and was one of the recipients of “The Justice Sandra Paul Alternative Dispute Resolution Prize” at the Hugh Wooding Law School. Since completing the LEC she has participated in a mediation training programme and is in the process of applying to become a certified Mediator in Trinidad and Tobago.
